(erielack) Demolition of Netcong Freight House?

I've noticed an interpretive sign at the realigned intersection of Rt 46 
near The Netcong Station. Among other things the sign states that the 
Netcong freight house was razed in 1981.

Can anyone corroborate this fact with official NJT paperwork, newspaper 
clippings, human memory, photos, etc?
