Re: (erielack) Suburban Fares Then and Now

And why do I run out of money before I run out of checks?

When I commuted from 1970-73 (2 yrs NJ&NY and 1 yr main line), I assume
that the schedules were not padded. I can count on one hand the number
of times that my train was late, not counting the trains during the Tube
strike which were held from a 1742 departure from Hoboken to 1800; it
was the later of two trains to Port Jervis, and the E-L wanted to
accommodate.
