Ah-HA! It always happens. I originally planned on modeling the Susquehanna
circa 1989, but two things changed this plan:
1) An interest in operations. On a single day on the NYS&W, you were lucky
if you had two through trains. Not enough for me!
2) Recalling the days of my youth in Boonton, NJ, watching EL GP7s switch
the Drew Chemical plant, and the fun of recreating that.

There really isn't much, unfortunately. I think the old Tyco flats (often
with piggyback trailers on them) are a good start for some Erie flats. The
DL&W channel-side flats were fairly unique, but shouldn't be that hard of a
scratchbuilding project....

I'm still trying to solve this one myself. It seems that there were many
variations of these handrails Some terminated at the cab, others terminated
on a stanchion directly ahead of the cab. There were also different
stanchion styles - some bowed outward above the bracket (for clearance?),
others were straight. And they all seemed to attach differently to the
frame. The most common type was an upside-down U-shape that I've seen on
GP7s. Has anyone found parts for these? I have 6 waiting for handrails! :)

Glad to be of help! :)
