Re: (erielack) flat cars



If anyone needs those Tyco flats I have a bunch - $2 each gets 'em, except
for the early version pulpwood car with screw-on trucks ($4 for that one).
In fact I'll sell them for less if someone doesn't want the Tyco talgo
trucks, I can always save them to fix some other junker.   (I'll do trades
too).

I seem to recall an article about modeling with these cars and it called for
tossing the factory deck... if thats the case on the EL model, you can use
any variant, be it the piggyback flat, the auto loader, or the pulpwood car.
I think Bachmann ended up with the dies for this car and still makes it,
also, although theirs need a thorough bath in paint stripper before you do
much else.

It seems as though this is a close copy of Athearn tooling, but the Athearn
car has a removable frame rather than a removable deck.

Also, if anyone gets looking for those cars and finds the one with True
Value Hardware trailers, please let me know.
