RE: (erielack) LAL 423

Speaking of LA&L ...........
NYS&W train BH-X arrived Bimington this morning with 2012, 1802, and the3006
and 3000. The two C-430's were dead-in-tow with the stacks and roof
radiator grills capped. Scanner chatter mentioned something about LA&L but
weren't specific as to whether this referred to the ALCo's.
Real cluster at D&H's Bevier Street .... 3 train meet. NYS&W BH-X (with
the 2 ALCo's) backed into Bevier St yard so NYS&W BH-2 (n/b empty stone with
4002 leading) could complete brake test and get out of town. D&H 554 (2
SD-40's, both really grungy looking) had to stop and wait while BH-X backed
in. Waiting to make a wye move at BD was NS H1-A as soon as 554 cleared.
And to top it off, Blimington was sunny this morning. Oh well

"As a side note, LAL has just completed (painted) an ex-Guilford unit
and renumbered it 423. After getting fresh LAL paint, it was sent to
Jamestown to work the WNY&PA. They were also leasing NS GP38AC 4138
until more rebuilt LAL power gets down there.
