A real shame. This is a classic DL&W concrete overpass, the kind with vertical concrete post sides (not solid). This is one of the last of these kind, alas. I have watched many a train from this overpass. I'll miss it!

On a similar note, I noticed last week that the DL&W steel through-girder bridge over Route 46 in Mountain Lakes, NJ is getting a new coat of paint (it currently wears its original DL&W black paint, and the "LACKAWANNA" lettering is barely visible, if you know where to look). It looks as if the north side had some gray primer on it.

What's wrong with painting railroad bridges black anymroe, huh? :(
