Thank you, Charles.  That's pretty much what I suspected.  And while I know
Tom, and should have asked there, I'm glad to have spread this knowledge on

Schuyler, that car is an all steel car with imitation wood sides. The entire
production of Pullman sleeper and parlor cars from 1911 until mid-1914 were
built this way. As cars were rebuilt, this siding was replaced with riveted
steel plates. For more information, I refer you to Tom Madden's extensive
