Re: (erielack) July calendar pictures... better late than never! :)

I have to correct a couple things on my comment about the Weekend Chief July
picture.
I thought of this after reading Paul's comments. This is a Newton train!
It was the first commuter train on the Boonton Line every evening leaving
Hoboken around 4:25. It arrived in my hometown of Mountain View around
5:13. For a long time this train was a combination of an F3 and a GP7.
This was in the late 50's. This train would stop at Netcong and wait for
about 45 minutes to connect with "The Lakeland" on its run to Washington.
This train would proceed to Newton. It would then work the Borden and
Becker Creameries returning later in the evening with no passengers to
Hoboken. The engines would then take 1009 west to Branchville and return to
Hoboken via the Boonton Line a little after noon. From what I understand,
it worked the creameries in the morning dropping cars at Dover for MU's to
pick up.

Hopefully this will clear up the picture and why the train has five cars.
 It is during the week.
