Re: (erielack) Acela at the MMC

NJT borrowed  Amtrak HHP loco No. 659 for test runs as it is similar to the 
new ALP-46's on order. I heard that Amtrak has had some problems with these 
units failing to activate grade crossing circuits so NJT decided to run some 
tests to see if the same problems might exist on our property. When I came 
east on Train 684 there were a dozen or more maintainers and other personel 
at Kahn Road in Convent just beofre Midnight. The test rain with the HHP and 
one of our ALPs was still in Dover Yard on S2.
