MS-NBC has video footage of the CSX runaway train that travelled 65 miles from
Stanley Yard south on the old T&OC. The yard job powered by CSX SD40-2 8888
(ex-CR) was on the loose southbound, when another CSX crew aboard SD40 8392
cut off from their own train at Dunkirk OH and chased it down from behind and
eventually coupled up, and acting as a brake sled that slowed the train down
enough so the conductor from a GP38-2 powered local in Kenton OH could climb
aboard the head end of the runaway. The helicopter footage show the train
crossing the abandoned EL mainline at Kenton, and finally getting stopped
south of Kenton at the Rte 31 crossing.
