Re: (erielack) NS gets trackage rights on ex-DL&W lines



There has not been any trackage rights on any DL&W lines. The NS trains were
haulage trains operated by CP/D&H crews with NS power. The coal trains are
run throughs with NS power & CP crews. These will be the first pure NS
trains on the DL&W between Binghamton and Scranton. It also now gives NS a
direct connection to Guilford, and bridges the gap between the Southern Tier
and the PRR lines that Conrail foolishly sold to R&N. So it is news!!!!
