Re: (erielack) Pressure gauge (fwd)



	Sounds more like an air gauge if it is says and is
from Westinghouse and the Max PSI is only 160. Most of
your gauges for appliances usually have the appliance
manufacturers name stamped or embossed on them in
someway ( Worthington , Elesco, ...). Most likely it
sounds like it could be a Air Brake Pipe  gauge for a
caboose. Some cabooses were set up with two gauges one
for  main air pipe pressure and one for reservoir
pressure with a release valve for rear end braking.
Unlike Locomotive cabs that "usually" have a dual
guage ( two guages in one housing) and multiple
needles ( black and red)  cabooses could not control
independent brakes only main train brakes.
